Snyder Jewelers is proud to offer comprensive jewelry appraisals. The anatomy of a Snyder Jewelers Insurance appraisal consists of a full description of your jewelry including: measurements, weights and qualities of all significant gemstones, weights and descriptions of all metals, thickness and sizes of all shanks, chain and mountings, notations of all quality stamps and engraving, condition of item & a digital photograph of your item.

Insurance Appraisals are completed by Mark Snyder. Mark has been in the jewelry industry buying, selling and appraising jewelry for over 20 years. He has completed with honors, The Gemological Institute of America's, Insurance Replacement Certificate course. He has also achieved a GIA Graduate Diamond degree by completing the GIA Diamond Essentials course, the GIA Diamond & Diamond Grading course & the GIA's 5-day Diamond Grading Lab.

Most insurance appraisals take approximately 1-2 hours after getting your item sparkling clean (which can take up to 2 hours). Most items and appraisals can be completed and returned within 24 - 48 hours.

The normal cost of an Insurance Appraisal for a "typical" jewelry item is $70. Diamond "plotting" is also available with your appraisal for an additional $15 per item. Package pricing is available if you have 6 items or more. Custom pricing is available for "non-typical" jewelry items upon viewing your jewelry.
